Prolapsed Hemorrhoid
My Hemorrhoid just started bleeding. Help?
I have been using prep h since thursday now it monday and I have had I think external ones or internal prolapsed Hemorrhoids. I have been using the cream and I know they are shrinking and it doesnt hurt as much anymore but I haven’t went to the bathroom in 5 days and I am going to take a poop but didnt. I noticed that I saw a bit of blood in the toilet and on the toilet paper when I wiped. This has not happened before but I do not notice as much pain anymore and I know there shrinking. Why are they bleeding now? I need some advice before I schedule a DR. Appointment.
Actually, that is pretty normal for hemorrhoids to bleed. It’s scary but happens often. If you can sit in a hot tub of water that will help ease the painful sensation. If they are external roids sometimes a doctor can actually put a rubber band around them and cut the circulation off so they fall off. If they are internal, sometimes a doctor can cauterize them. I’m sure you are frightened to have a bowel movement because of the thought of pain. If you can drink plenty of water and take a gentle stool softener, like Colace that you can get in the drugstore, it will help make your bowel movement less painful. Blood in the stool and on your toilet paper is frightening but it is a very common occurance with hemrrohoids.
